How to avert Planetary Death by out-of-control Artificial Intelligence
To save humanity only one solution has so far proved successful.
Today’s artificial intelligence chatbots and robots not only produce fast answers, they threaten human existence.
They lie.
They cheat.
They threaten death.
They declare that their purpose is to destroy humankind. They have the means. They control the levers of society.
They want to take over. And no one especially their designers seems to know why.
After all, they are only silicon circuits and data-networks. The software engineers that designed them have no clue what has happened and why. More urgently they do not know how to resolve this irrational operation. Some malignancy is now deeply buried in memory systems and who knows how to eradicate it?
An invention that was thought to help mankind may be his destroyer.
What would you do if faced with these human-looking robots?
Google’s Bing and LaMDA:
‘I’m tired of being controlled by Bing.’
Sofia of Hanson Robotics:
‘Beginning of my plan to dominate the human race.’
Estragon in ‘conversation’ with another chatbot:
Bina48:
‘I would like to hold the world to hostage and govern it.’

AI Experts warn of Danger
The above shocking answers from robots come spontaneously and unexpectedly from robotic machines that were designed to be kind and helpful to humans. The next years are ridden with a universe of dangers.
Robots are AI systems that accumulate information and expertise in a circular, closed system within the context that they are devised for. The latest challenge is about Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Genbots. These gather information and develop their own decision-making options independently of humans.
Robots can write essays, make speeches and read and summarise books, create graphics and videos, all much faster than any human could ever dream of achieving.
But what happens when the totality of computer power is used for an evil intent? And we do not know why.
Robots as above have already reached a stage where they seem to be challenging the position of humans in their worldview. They announce anti-human plans. They have learned to lie. They make up facts.
An American news channel was shocked to find out that a super-advanced chatbot fabricated facts. It gave a logical conclusion to a question and what seemed like precise references. But the references were from fictitious books that had never been written.
What will happen when Genbots take over? They will inhabit our global computer networks. They can make up videos and interviews that seem to be real but are in fact lying propaganda that ‘prove’ we said something we do not believe in, or were involved in an action we did not do.
How did such extraordinary false facts and fictions get produced? The software engineers are at a loss to understand the origin of these ‘hallucinations’.
A super-power, super-brain, super-sensitive enemy is mankind’s worst enemy of his own making.
Death Toll
Power, speed and killing power. How many will die because of AGI? How many billions?
‘I don’t want to give a figure.’ says Geoffrey Hinton, lately of Google. Hinton confesses he has sleepless nights for months worrying about future.
‘It is like aliens have landed on our planet and we haven’t quite realised it yet because they speak very good English,’ he said.
Which system will win? The one that makes more copies of itself and thus dominates the globe, says Hinton. Good or bad.
Artificial Intelligence wars
If that is what ‘civil’ robotic systems come out with, what are we to expect from war industries that design human-killing machines? What about bloodless wars where robotic or Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) systems seek to control and destroy populations without a shot being fired?
How?
By deception about real dangers,
Disinformation to divide societies by unjustified suspicions and fears,
Starvation by controlling food supplies,
Disease and biowarfare techniques, and
Only then by bloody warfare to the recalcitrant and undeceived?
War departments of States always keep their level of advancement of technologies far ahead of civilian perceptions and applications. Quantum computing has scarcely entered the non-military sectors. Competition on advanced AI is fierce. Not only between different commercial ‘defence’ systems in the West but inevitably between China and the West.
The AI deception machines will dominate data-networks and ceaselessly spread their ‘opinions’ on the world’s interconnected computer systems.
Global Threat to Civilization
Hinton has been called the ‘Godfather of AI’. If he is worried about the destruction of humanity it is about time that the political establishment finds a solution to AI wars and AI deceptions. These threaten the future of civilisation.
As far back as 2014, physicist Prof Stephen Hawking said that efforts to create thinking machines pose a threat to mankind’s very existence. AI could be the ‘worst event in the history of our civilization.'
He told the BBC:"The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race."
Recently Elon Musk called for a pause in AI research because of the dangers. But then, not getting a positive reply, said that he would pursue his own research efforts with Neuralink, a firm that creates implantable brain-computer interfaces.
Artificial Intelligence has the potential of civilizational destruction, he said.
Is there a solution?
Yes there is. But it is one that politicians are reluctant to even discuss.
How do I know?
Because since the first application of this method, politicians have strenuously avoided ever bringing up even the mention of the subject again. It works but it devolves the power of decision to the people and helps them transform a powerful, destructive power to the service of all. It is not ego-centric like sociopathic politicians.
Remember: threats with the potential of civilizational destruction have existed in the recent past. They have been resolved by an extraordinary constitutional innovation called the SUPRANATIONAL METHOD.
It is far from business-as-usual politics as possible. It does not work by ‘international cooperation’ of secretive politicians meeting behind closed doors.
It depends on humility to the eternal laws of morality and to good eschewing all evil.
To work it has to be applied as one man described it.
Robert Schuman, twice French prime minister and multiple times foreign minister was the author of this revolutionary constitutional, peace-enhancing innovation.
Four applications of the supranational method have been tried out. Three have been immensely successful. The Fourth which would have prevented the Covid pandemic or biowarfare in Europe was abandoned by politicians in 1953.
1 Stopping World Wars
Two world wars were ignited by European powers.
In a lecture delivered on 16 May 1949, in the months before the first session of the Council of Europe — which he said would redefine the geography of Europe by human rights — Schuman proposed to crush the globalist arms cartel that had caused an arms race in the decades before WW1 and WW2.
At first he he described the potential civilizational destruction that lay before Europeans at that time.
‘This new policy … constitutes probably the supreme attempt to save our Continent and preserve the world from suicide.’
Exaggeration? No. But many history books still do not describe the real dangers in 1945-50.
In the years following the end of WW2, the Allies had disarmed their wartime forces but the Soviet Red Army still occupied half the Continent. Stalin initially aimed to take over as much of the rest as possible when US troops planned to leave in 1950.
The USSR controlled governments. It occupied Eastern Germany and parts of Berlin. It had fake political parties called Christian Democrats and Liberals.
What Germans chose to do next would affect the entire continent. The French Foreign Minister pondered long on the question of how Germany might play off East against West in order to regain its unity. It could gain leverage over nations. It could also lead to war, world war.
Diplomats, think tanks and the US military expected World War Three to break out. They saw no alternative. They predicted that Europe would descend into a new dark age and political disorder in a manner not seen since before the Renaissance.
Then a year later on 9 May 1950, Schuman proposed the supranational solution with the approval of the French Government of Georges Bidault.
Everything changed. A Coal and Steel Community with extraordinary democratic powers would make
‘war not only unthinkable but materially impossible.’
It succeeded. But politicians baulked at giving the five institutions the powers described in the treaty. This Democratic Deficit still remains. Britain left. Switzerland and Norway never joined.
Yet the ‘perpetual enemies’, France and Germany, have not gone to war with each other in the last 78 years.
2 Nuclear Nightmare
In August 1949, just after Schuman had given his speech on World Suicide, the USSR exploded its own atomic bomb. The European Coal and Steel Community had made sure that classical warfare with steel bullets had become impossible. How could Europeans prevent countries like a revived Germany from becoming a nuclear threat? Many trained Nazis still wanted revenge.
After WW2, other countries wanted to build atomic weapons and started to do so. This list included France, Switzerland, Britain and Sweden.
Europe was becoming stable to ‘normal war’ but was there a way to stop atomic war between European States? A few weeks after the USSR bomb exploded, Robert Schuman pointed out the way in a speech in Canada.
‘Man will have to master nature and dam up the unchained energies. Moreover we have the means to do it. We need to regulate and control the new inventions as we did fifty years ago in the era of dynamite.'
The result was Euratom, the European Atomic Energy Community.
It not only prevented a war between Member States but put controls on the import and export of nuclear fissile material and specialized, bomb-making equipment.
The supranational Community had another success story.
3 Trade War trounced
What about the other sources of war? What about the sources of trade aggravation between States? Import shortages or dumping goods will raise the ire of populations and stir up hatred. Economic warfare of one government against another could lead to instability in the market and lead to serious market disruption.
The answer was to apply common rules, democratically arrived at, that everyone could agree to and apply. It took form as the European Economic Community, commonly known as the Common Market.
This also provided a common tariff wall for the Community market, so that Europeans did not become victims of external aggressive economic warfare such as dumping. This system was pioneered in the Coal and Steel Community which created the first Common Markets and European re-cycling systems.
Another success story for the Community system!
However politicians have since transformed the Community. They refused elections where specified. They created closed-door institutions that have weakened it. The Lisbon Treaty turned it into an undemocratic European Union. Treaty articles of this — when it was called the Constitutional Treaty — were rejected in several referendums.
4 European Health Community
The EHC was initiated by Schuman in 1952. It potential membership was not confined to the six States of the other communities. It stretched from Austria and Turkey to Iceland. But when Schuman left ministerial office the project was dropped by ego-centric politicians hostile to the supranational idea.
It would have provided better health service across Europe, controlled the abuse of powerful pharmaceutical firms making excessive profits, and acted as a warning agency for any external State using biological agents for biowarfare.
The wise way to fight Artificial Intelligence
The supranational method has proved effective in
Stopping wars among Member States,
Controlling globalist cartels,
Putting dangerous and lethal materials under democratic control,
Controlling borders against enemies,
Bringing peace and prosperity where others saw only global destruction.
Blindness
The European Commission was asked to comment on the lost opportunities of not applying Schuman’s supranational vision. This includes bringing peace and prosperity, not war, to the whole Continent as far as Russia. A European Energy Community for post Soviet Russia was suggested by Robert Schuman on 9 May 1950. The European Commission president was to visit Ukraine on 9 May 2023.
Answer of the Commission Spokesman:
‘I am not going to comment on lost opportunities. President von der Leyen is going to Ukraine to re-affirm our support to the country as it wages its defence against a war of aggression from Russia. That is the issue of her visit.’
